Professional

Professionals are teacher members who have a degree or diploma in music from a recognised tertiary institution that includes music related teacher training.  

They can also be a teacher of music who has at least five years experience with documented results, evidence of ongoing professional development, and employment references.

This category suits a teacher of music who has completed a course/s accepted by the QMTA Council for Accreditation.

Associate

Associates are teacher members who have completed a degree or diploma in music from a recognised tertiary institution but without music related teacher training.

These teachers are gathering five years experience with documented results, and are on the way towards Professional Membership.  

Student

Students of music in the process of obtaining a degree/diploma from a recognised tertiary institution, and who are working towards Associate and Professional Membership.
