We are thrilled to introduce QVC Festival’s 2023 Ambassador, Australian opera singer, Jessica Pratt. Her story and journey as one of the foremost operatic sopranos in the world is truly inspiring.

In 2003, she won the Australian Singing Competition, which brought her to Europe, and she was subsequently invited by Gianluigi Gelmetti to continue her studies at the Rome Opera.

While in Rome, she also studied under Renata Scotto at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, finally moving to Milan in 2006 to complete her studies with Lella Cuberli.

Since that time, she has begun to make a career for herself in many of the world's great opera houses. Jessica, is most recognised for her portrayal of Lucia di Lammermoor, which she has performed over 100 times worldwide.

Critics have praised her performance, calling her "A Revelation as Donizetti's Tragic Heroine. Hailed by the New York Times as a soprano of "gleaming sound, free and easy high notes, agile coloratura runs and lyrical grace," Jessica Pratt is considered one of today's foremost interpreters of some of bel canto's most challenging repertoire.

She thrills audiences around the world on all major opera stages with her dazzling voice and supreme qualities as one of the most in demand sopranos of today.

Jessica is thrilled to be a part of QVC Festival as ambassador seeing this as an opportunity to ignite the passion for music and Classical singing in the hearts of our next generation of singers.
